IV fluid’s With dextrose, steroids, TPN, infection.
What is hepatic encephalopathy?
A complication of the end-stage liver where lethargic, and confusion. Signs and symptoms of arms.
What is the treatment of peptic ulcer disease?
Proton pump inhibitor and antibiotics
What electrolyte imbalance occur and refeeding?
Hypophosphataemia which leads to respiratory failure, deficiency and potassium and magnesium.
What is Hirschsprung’s disease?
Missing nerve cells in the large intestine which causes a lack of stool to be passed,And can lead to enterocollitis
What are the signs and symptoms of Enterrocolitis?
Fever foul diarrhoea worsening abdomen distension which can lead to sepsis and the death
What is diverticula?
Projections in the intestine due to constipation
What are the signs and symptoms of diverticula?
Acute pain on left lower abdomen, abscess formation and intestinal perforation
What meds are prescribed with irritable bowel syndrome?
Sulphapyridine and aspirin
What are the signs and symptoms of pyloric stenosis?
Projectile vomiting jugular vein distention, wet burps, weight loss, hunger, dehydration.
