multifactoral falls management
A
leading cause of death due to unintentional injury.
history is important and helps to pull out all the contributing factors to a fall
e.g syncope, tia, polypharmacy. deconditioning.
complete a comprehensive geriatric assessment which looks at mdications- which can be stopped or reduced, home situation (PTOT), cognition, sensation problems. frailty.
NICE reccomends tuag test or 180 turn test.
