  • Steady increase until mid-July
  • Rises steadily until beginning September
  • Stabilizes for ~3 weeks
  • Rises in October and reaches its highest level
  • Then begins to subside, although may rise again.
  • Typical heights 7- 14 m
  • c.1800–1750 BC: examples up to 21m
