Genitourinary, Breast, Testes Flashcards
To make assessments more inclusive, try these language patterns
- Make it specific: cervical cancer screening instead of well woman appointment
- Use function: erectile tissue or genitals instead of penis or clitoris
- Say the actual effect instead of “women may become pregnant” – “pregnancy may occur” or “male-pattern balding” – “hair loss may occur”
Additional history for the aging adult
- postmenopausal bleeding, atrophic vaginitis, uterine prolapse
- sexual satisfaction
