-Hx of lower tract UTI
-sudden onset of systemic symptoms (fever, chills, malaise)
-urinary frequency, urgency, dysuria
-unilateral flank pain, abdominal pain, unilateral costovertebral angle tenderness
-N/V
-gross hematuria
-enlarged kidney on exam
-Pyuria, bacteruria, nitrates on UA, WBCs on microscopy, positive UC

-sudden-onset, unilateral, severe pain in the flank
-intermittent, colicky pain
-pain can radiate to lower abdomen, groin, genitals
-N/V
-dysuria, frequency, urgency, low voided volumes
-positive CVA tenderness
-pink, red, or brown urine
-tachycardia
-need for constant movement
