Describe genetic engineering
A
> an enzyme is used to cut the useful gene out of the chromosome
> the enzyme then cuts the gene out of the chromosome needed
> it is replaced with the useful allele when the plant has only a few cells

> reduced biodiversity
> fear of developing allergies
> favourable gene could make its way into the environment, eg creating a ‘super weed’

> higher yield of crops, could silver world hunger
> can add nutrients to supply the malnourished
