Q

How have you found the P2C process?

A

I have found it very positive overall, as the refective nature of it has really helped my learning as I have advanced in my career. The pandemic actually made it harder for me to stay motivated think, but towards the end of 2020 I got back on track!

Q

Summarise your career so far

A

I fell in love with landscape architecture after hearing about it at a careers talk during the final year of my geography degree.
After a year doing a few bits of voluntary work and work experience, I got a job at Capita following a week’s work experience there.
I then undertook a conversion year and masters, and moved to Define shortly after finishing my masters. I now work mainly in high level landscape planning: creating sustainable, socially-conscious development visions and masterplans.

Q

Why did you want to become chartered?

A

For me, I see it as a way of learning about the profession I am in, my role, and how to be a professional… it is also a way for me to ensure I have the competency and integrity to practise landscape architecture. It is also a way to advance my career and gain more responsibility and influence in the work that I do.
