somatic disorders are common (quite non-specific and vague) ➔ SOB, palpitations, fatigue, headaches, dizziness, and restlessness

tx for generalized anxiety disorder
first-line: CBT ➔ psychoeducation, change maladaptive thought patterns, gradual exposure to anxiety-provoking situations
pharm: SSRI/SNRI
Patient education: trigger avoidance, avoid caffeine, alcohol, nicotine and stress if possible, improve sleep
