Can you tell us about your experience in case management and working with individuals experiencing homelessness?
I have extensive experience in case management and homelessness services, spanning multiple roles, including Housing Case Manager at Athena, Housing Program Manager at Homes for Hope, and my work with the State of Maryland’s Department of Housing and Community Development. I have provided direct client support, developed individualized housing stabilization plans, conducted housing inspections, and worked closely with landlords and community organizations to secure stable housing. Additionally, I have experience overseeing grant programs focused on homelessness solutions and ensuring compliance with federal and state housing regulations.
What attracted you to this role at New Hope Housing?
I am passionate about working with individuals experiencing homelessness and helping them transition to stable housing. My experience managing housing programs, developing policies, and ensuring compliance aligns with the responsibilities of this role. Additionally, my leadership experience in supervising case managers and overseeing shelter operations makes me confident that I can contribute meaningfully to the team.
How would you describe your leadership style when supervising case managers and interns?
I believe in a hands-on, supportive leadership style that fosters collaboration, professional development, and accountability. In my previous roles, I have provided training, supervision, and guidance to case managers, ensuring they meet performance goals while also supporting their growth. I value open communication, continuous learning, and empowering my team to make informed decisions to best serve our clients.
