Muscle Rupture (minor) - presentation?
A
Pain on resisted movement
Haematoma appears quickly, then moves down limb with gravity.
On palpation, a small ‘step’ or indentation is present usually.

Precipitating factors?
A
Some degree of muscle atrophy, this patient was found to have muscle atrophy on US secondary to long term steroid use

A
Central weight gain - striae Moon face Insulin resistance Psychological (depression, psychosis) Cataracts Osteoperosis Buffalo Hump Easy bruising Proximal myopathy
