Where should an air separator be installed?

What does an expansion tank do?
Absorbs excess water pressure caused by thermal expansion
End connection for valves and Fittings - Common application - SCREWED

Used on brass
End connection for valves and Fittings - Common application - SOLDERED
Used on copper
End connection for valves and Fittings - Common application - FLARED
