Psychrometrics & Humidification Flashcards
1
Q
Relative Humidity
A
A proportional amount of humidity contained in an air sample compared to the maximum amount that the air sample could hold. Need dry bulb temp to be useful. Always relative to a temperature.
2
Q
Dewpoint
A
is the temperature that air must be cooled for condensation to occur
3
Q
Enthalpy (BTU/lb)
A
internal (heat) energy (sum of heat of the air and water vapor within)
4
Q
Why relative humidity?
A
Because it’s what we feel. We give up moisture through evaporation. 100RH causes fog/condensation
