Merry, sturdy, sporting; well balanced; compact; measuring approximately same from withers to ground as from withers to root of tail.
Cocker Spaniel
Of medium height, clean in outline, elegant in appearance and movement.
English Setter
Symmetrically built, compact, strong, merry, active. Highest on leg and raciest in build of all British land Spaniels.
English Springer Spaniel
is a dog of noble and balanced appearance, the conformation of which ensures strength, endurance and speed. Proud attitude, smooth outlines, lean head, well carried tail, firm shiny coat and well reaching, harmonious strides emphasise its nobility.
IMPORTANT PROPORTIONS: Length of body should slightly exceed height at withers.
German Shorthaired Pointer
Symmetrical, balanced, active, powerful, level mover; sound with kindly expression
Golden Retriever
Stylish dog, with galloping lines. Consistent with its build which can be compared to a weight carrying hunter. Symmetrical in conformation throughout.
Gordon Setter
Symmetrical and well built all over, general outline a series of graceful curves. A strong but lissom appearance.
Pointer
Strong and powerful, without lumber - athletic rather than racy.
Irish Red and White Setter
The …….. is stocky in build with a solid liver-coloured curled coat.
His size and build create a rectangular outline. He has a strong moderately broad head with a distinctive stop.
His ears hang loosely and frame the face. Distinctive webbed feet are a hallmark of the breed.
Murray River Retriever
Must be racy, balanced and full of quality. In conformation, proportionate.
Irish Setter
Small to medium-sized dog, well proportioned, powerfully built, of a rustic appearance, with a dense, curly coat of woolly texture.
Important Proportions:
The dog is nearly as high as long (nearly square). The length of the head is 4/10 of the height at the withers. The length of the skull should be slightly more than the length of the muzzle. The depth of the chest is less than 50 % (about 44 %) of the height at the withers.
Lagotto Romagnolo
Of strong and harmonious construction with powerful appearance. The preferred subjects are those with lean limbs, well developed muscles, well defined lines with a markedly sculpted head and a very obvious lower orbital chiselling, elements which all contribute to give distinction to this breed.
Important proportions: Length of the body is the same or a little more then the height at the withers. Length of head is equal to 4/10 of the height at the withers; it’s width, measured at the level of the zygomatic arches, is less than half its length. Skull and muzzle are of equal length.
Bracco Italiano
Symmetrical, compact, not leggy, obviously built for endurance and hard work. Quick and active mover, displaying plenty of push and drive.
Welsh Springer Spaniel
Important proportions:
- Length of body to height at withers approximately 12:11
- Proportions of the head: From tip of nose to stop slightly longer than from stop to occiput.
- Forequarters: Distance from elbow to mid pastern and distance from elbow to point of withers about equal. [Distance from elbow to ground is slightly longer than distance from elbow to withers]
Weimaraner
A pointing dog of noble appearance, with harsh coat completely protecting the skin, with an attentive expression full of energy. The movement should be powerful, ground covering, flowing and harmonious.
Important proportions: The length of the body and the height at withers should be as equal as possible. The length of the body may exceed the height at withers by up to 3 cm.
