Define gender dysphoria
A
- gender identity is not congruent with biological/phenotype AND causes the patient distress for at least 6 months
- patient may believe they are the opposite gender already (this is NOT A DELUSION)

What is the treatment for gender dysphoria?
A
- psychotherapy and gender reassignment
- gender reassignment is permanent so patient needs to be evaluated to make sure that is 100% what they want because there is no going back
