What is a rack and pinion linkage used for?
A
Used in cars to convert the rotary motion of the steering wheel into a lateral motion of the wheels

A
Changes motion through 90 degrees
Worm is usally the driver
Creates large reduction in speed

A
Change motion through 90 degrees
If gears are different sized there is change in speed too
