What is the body like?

head well developed with radula
what is the foot like?
foot large and flat
What is reproduction like in Gastropoda?
dioecious or monoecious, some with trochophore, typically with veliger larva
What are the benefits of torsion?
-head enter first so less exposure to predators
-allow clean water to enter mantle cavity through the front
-makes snails more sensitive to stimuli
How do gastropods prevent desiccation (drying up)?
drawing the foot into mantle which makes the operculum close the opening of the shell
Difference between dextral and sinistral shells?
Dextral - aperture on the right
Sinistral - aperture on the left
