-large mouth w/ small teeth in upper or both jaws
-two nostrils open into anterior part of mouth cavity
What is respiration like? through what in the larval form?
-by lungs (absent in salamanders), skin, and gills
-by external gills in the larval form & may persist in life (neoteny)
What is circulation like?
with three-chambered heart (2 atria & 1 ventricle)
-double circulation through heart
-skin abundantly supplied w/blood vessels
Is it cold blooded or warm blooded
Ectothermal (cold blooded)

-Separate sexes
