what is the Gastrointestinal System Composed of.
the GI, or Digestive tract. The liver, pancreas, and gallbladder.
What does the GI tract consist of.
Hollow organs such as the mouth, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, Large intestine, and Anus.
How is the abdomen divided
4 Quadrants, Right and left,Upper and Lower.Cross section meets at the navel of the patient.
What organs are located in the Right Upper Quadrant
The majority of the Liver, The Right Kidney, Colon, Small portion of the Pancreas, small intestines, Gallbladder
What organs are located in the Left upper Quadrant
Small portion of the liver, spleen, Left Kidney, Stomach, Colon, small intestines, the majority of the Pancreas
What Organs are located in the Right Lower Quadrant
Colon, Small Intestines, Right Ureter, Appendix, Right Ovary (Female), Right Fallopian Tube(Female)

Colon, Small Intestines, Left Ureter, Left Ovary(Female), Left Fallopian Tube(Female)
What is the Esophagus
A tube that connects the mouth the the stomach
What is the Stomach
An organ responsible for breaking down food and sending it to the small intestine.
What is the Small Intestine
Where the nutrients is absorbed
What is the Pancreas
An organ Responsible for producing Insulin and Regulating blood glucose level.
What is the Liver
An organ that breaks down fat and filters blood coming from the digestive tract.
What is the Gall Bladder
An organ that gets bile from the liver, and reales it into the small intestine.
What is the Large Intestine
An organ in which most of the water is removed from the waste material and stool.
What is the Appendix
A thin tube that is easily enflamed and can burst .
