the art of making the public aware of the services or commoditites that a business has for sale
Advertising
services provided by a funeral service organization that ocur after final disposition, those appropriate and helpful acts of couseling, personal, and/or written contact that come after the funeral
Aftercare (post funeral follow-up)
a summary of how a business owner, manager, or entrepeneur intends to organize the business endeavor and implement activities necessary for the venture to succeed
Business plan
Latin for “let the buyer beware”. buyer’s risk, the commerical principle that the buyer is responsible for making sure that goods bought are of a reasonable quality, unless the seller is offering a guarantee of their quality
Caveat emptor
Latin for “let the seller beware”. The commerical principle that the seller is responsible for the product and discourages selling goods of unreasonable quality
Caveat venditor
the process of measuring organizatioal and indiviual performance with predetermined standards or expected results
Controlling (evaluating)
a sudden misfortune, resulting in the loss of life and/or property
Disaster
an unforeseen combination of circumstances that result in a need for immediate action
Emergency
study of workplace design, the study of how a workplace and the equipment used therein can best be designed for comfort, efficency, safety, and productivity
Ergonomics
the monitoring and maintaing of the funeral home physical plant, workspace and funeral equipment
Facilities management
the utilization and monitoring of assets, revenue, expenditures, and capital
Finanical management
the administration of funeral service enterprise, the activities of which encompass marketing, office, human resources, facilities, and finanical management
