A

Individual members of society made to feel a sense of social solidarity or belonging. The education system creates this through transmitting society shared culture e.g. learning beliefs and values. School is also a society where we learn to live and work together we learn the impersonal roles which govern our behaviour. Furthermore education teaches us the complex specialist skills we need so we can play our part in our complicated labour market. A

Specialist skills are not taught e.g. Wolf report on vocational education. 350,000 students were not benefiting from post 16 education system. low social classes and ethnic minority groups do not achieve as well as privileged classes.
