- Unfreezing
- Changing
- Refreezing
What happens in the unfreezing phase of the Change Model?
The need for change is identified and communicated which creates motivation for change.
What happens in the changing phase of the Change Model?
The resistance to change is managed and the organization comes into alignment with the change. AKA, people get on the same page for change.
What happens in the refreezing phase of the Change Model?
The change becomes the new norm.
Define Employee Relations
An Organization’s commitment to foster a positive working relationship with its employees
Define Labor Relations.
The actual relationship between an organization’s leader and it’s employees.
What are the 5 steps of Workforce Planning?

Norris-LaGuardia Act of 1932
Endorsed collective bargaining, gave unions the ability to operate free from corporate control.
National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) of 1935 AKA the Wagner Act.
Gave employees the right to organize and bargain collectively and prohibited the violation of basic rights of employees (union-related).
Taft-Hartley Act of 1947
Provided protections for employers and stated they too have rights to go to NLRB.
What is a code of conduct?
Behaviors a company requires/prohibits of its employees
What is a code of ethics?
Ideal set of standards a company intends to uphold.
