More probing depth reduction
Decrease/elimination of pathogens up to 4/12
Decreased malodour
Lower risk of re-infection
Decreased number of patients visits-quicker treatment
Potential Disadvantages of FMD?
Increased pain and sensitivity
Recession
Less opportunity for smoking cessation and Oral Hygiene advice
