Q

When does the FUEL IMBALANCE Caution message appear, and when will it extinguish?

A

When fuel quantity in one tank differs by 800 lbs from the other tank. The message is removed when the difference between the tanks is less than 100 lbs. AOM 2-08-05 page 7.

Q

What is the power source for pressure refueling?

A

The power source is selected on the refueling panel. Normally, DC Bus 1 is the power source, energized by the batteries, APU, GPU or running engine. If BATTERY is selected on the refueling panel, HOT DC Bus 1 is the power source. AOM 2-08-10 page 4.

Q

Explain how to use the fuel measuring sticks.

A

Start using the stick closest to the wing tip. Using the charts provided in the AOM, convert the stick indication to a fuel quantity. If the outermost stick reads zero, move to the internal stick and repeat the process. Do not add measuring stick values. It is necessary to wait 10 minutes after refueling or after the fuel pumps are turned OFF before reading the sticks. AOM 1-12-25 page 6.
