Loss of Braking
*IF NO BRAKING AVAILABLE
- Reversers — Max
- Brake Pedals — Release
- Anti-Skid and N/W Steering — Order, OFF
- Brake Pedals — Press (Max. Pressure — 1000psi)
*if STILL NO BRAKING:
- Parking Brake — *Use / Short/Successive Applications
Smoke/Fumes/Avionics Smoke
*IF PERCEPTIBLE SMOKE APPLY IMMEDIATELY:
- O2 Mask/Goggles — USE/100%/EMERG
(Additional important items to note) Crew Communications - Establish
Emergency Descent
- CREW OXY MASKS — USE
- SIGNS — ON
- EMER DESCENT — INITIATE
*if A/THR is not active - THR LEVERS — IDLE
- SPD BRK — FULL
(Additional important items to note) EMER Descent Set Alt/HDG/Speed Speed Brakes allow speed to increase before use of the SPD BRK to avoid AP disc or Auto SPD BRK retraction
Unreliable Speed Indication/ADR Check Procedure
- AP/FD — OFF
- A/THR — OFF
- PITCH / THRUST
- Below THR RED ALT — 15°/TOGA
- Above THR RED ALT and Below FL100 — 10°/CL
- Above THR RED ALT and Above FL100 — 5°/CL
- Flaps — Maintain Current Config
- Flaps (if CONF FULL) — Select CONF 3 and MAINTAIN
- Speed-brakes — Check Retracted
- L/G — UP
EGPWS Warnings “PULL UP”, “OBSTACLE AHEAD PULL UP”, “TERRAIN AHEAD PULL UP”
*Simultaneously:
- AP — OFF
- Pitch — PULL UP
Pull to full backstick and maintain in that position.
- Thrust Levers — TOGA
TCAS Warning
- AP (if engaged) — OFF
- Both FDs — OFF
Respond Promptly and Smoothly to fly the “Green”
Windshear Warning - Reactive Windshear
if after V1
RED “Windshear” on PFD
- THR LEVERS — TOGA
- REACHING VR — Rotate
- SRS ORDERS — Follow
*This includes the use of full back stick, if demanded.
Windshear Warning - Reactive Windshear
(Airborne, Initial Climb or Landing)
RED “Windshear” on PFD
- THR LEVERS AT TOGA — SET OR CONFIRM
- AP (if engaged) — KEEP ON
- SRS ORDERS — FOLLOW
Windshear Warning - Predictive Windshear
“Windshear Ahead” (Airborne)
- THR LEVERS — TOGA
*As usual, the slat/flap configuration can be changed, provided the windshear is not entered. - AP (if engaged) — KEEP ON
- SRS ORDERS — FOLLOW
Windshear Warning - Predictive Windshear
“Windshear Ahead” (During Landing)
- GO AROUND — Perform
- AP (if engaged) — KEEP ON
STALL Warning @ Lift-Off
- THRUST — TOGA
*At the same time: - PITCH ATTITUDE — 15º
- BANK — WINGS LEVEL
STALL Recovery
- NOSE DOWN PITCH CONTROL — APPLY
- BANK — WINGS LEVEL
*When out of stall (no longer stall indications) - THRUST — INCREASE SMOOTHLY AS NEEDED
- SPEEDBRAKES — CHECK RETRACTED
- FLIGHT PATH — RECOVER SMOOTHLY
*If in clean configuration and below 20,000 feet: - FLAP 1 — Select
