Childhood experiences, especially between the parent and child

Split in three different parts that are very different to each other and usually conflict

Abnormal behaviour
What are the 3 different personality types?
The id, The ego, The superego
What’s the id personality type ?
Demanding, primitive instincts like sexual and aggressive urges , present from birth
What’s the ego personality type?
Rational part of our personality that controls the id and superego, tries to satisfy the id in socially acceptable and moral ways , balances out the id and superego
When is the ego developed
2/3 years old
What’s the super ego
Our moral conscience, tries to control the id and drives us to behave well
What age does the super ego develop
4-6
What are the 3 levels of the mind
Conscious mind, preconscious mind and unconscious mind
Can we access our unconscious mind
Yes but it’s difficult as we aren’t aware of it
What are the 3 superegos we can develop
Strong superego , weak super ego, deviant superego
What’s the strong superego
Strong Morals, knowing right from wrong, feeling guilt and shame so won’t become a criminal
