QUICK EXAMPLE
I know this appraoch works as I’m already doing this
I’m already doing this at Swinton. Custody have had a massive drive in standards after our HMIC and DVB report. Staff are reminded on an almost daily basis around the expectations for UOF, strip searches, females in custody etc.
I also deal with all complaints and adverse incidents and through investigating these I’ve had to provide a range of response from words of advice through to reporting to PSD. I’ve done this is a transparent and consistent manner so staff know what is expected of them. Swinton consistently recognized by SLT as one of the best performing in force.
