Forestry step test
perform short warm up stand facing the bench and start stepping onto bench.Then start the stopwatch,keep to the beat of metronome stepping one foot onto bench(up and own and up and down). Do this for 5 minutes. Then stop for, have 15 seconds the find your pulse and then another 15 seconds to time your pulse.
Advantages and Disadvantages
Advantages: Simple and easy to carry out, large number of participants can perform at once.
Disadvantages:Can be boring, you need specialist equipment (metronome).
Validity and reliability
Validity To predict VO 2 max the results are not as valid as other test (MSFT)
Reliability: If pulse is not taken at the right time, the bench needs too be at right height.
1 minute sit up test
perform warm up then lie on mat with knees bent and feet flat on floor, fold arms across body , use assistant to time.

Advantages: quick and easy to carry out , no specialised equipment required.
Disadvantages: Not suitable for everyone ,,human error in counting sit us.
