Is an upper airway obstruction that may be partial or complete. A high degree of suspicion of a foreign body obstruction should be given to a child with a sudden onset SOB who was previously well
Severity Table for Obstruction

Absent of ineffective cough = Manual clearance, 5 back blows, 5 chest thrusts, continue to alternate and monitor for clearance
Unconscious = manual clearance, laryngoscopy and magills/suction, if not success move on to 5 forceful breaths and 5 chest compressions, alternate between the two and monitor for clearance.
If loss of cardiac output treat as per cardiac arrest
