Contraindications for any Massage

A

-absolute: fever, intoxication, infectious disease’
-regional/local: injuries, acute inflammation of circulatory or lymphatic system
-Cancer is NOT a contraindication for reflexology

Healing Crisis

A

-occurs when the body is ridding itself of toxins at a faster rate than normal.
-not indicative of anything wrong.
-examples: tiredness or change in sleeping patterns, more energized, increased activity of the skin due to elimination of toxins, diarrhea or bowel movements, frequent urination, increased mucus, illness flare up’s, emotional release/crying

Reflexology Moves

  1. Shaking foot and ankle (wake up!)
  2. Finger walking down dorsal surface (inch out of bed)
  3. Ankle Joint Movement (morning stretches)
  4. Toe Joint Movement (more morning stretches)
  5. Friction across dorsal surface (put on shirt)
  6. Friction across ankle (put on pants)
  7. Cresting (put shoes on)
  8. Cupping around ankle (put on blush)
  9. Uterus/Prostate area (check your pad)
  10. Ovary/Testicle area (go to the bathroom)

11.Bicycling then at eminence on pads of feet (lets go for a bike ride)

  12. Japanese move (Tap out the water in your ear)
  13. Slapping (Stomp home)
  14. Kidney 3 Medial (Go to the bathroom)
  15. Bladder 60 Lateral (Go the the bathroom)
  16. Find Crunchies (Eat cereal)
  17. Solar Plexus point of both feet (Breathe)
