To test for starch
Use iodine on bread, turns from brown to blue/black
To test for glucose
(Reducing sugar)-add Benedict’ssolution to lucozade, heat it. Turns from blue to brick red
To test for protein
(Biuret test)-add copper sulphate and sodium hydroxide (biuret reagent) to meat. Turns from blue to violet
To test for fat
Put down paper onto oil. A translucent dot appears.
