What acid base imbalance is found in seizures with apnea?
A
Seizures with apnea leads to hypoxemia and lactic acidos. Lactic acidosis is a form of metabolic acidosis, occurs when cells use glucose without oxygen (called Anaerobic Metabolism) , glucose then is incompletely broken down adn forms lactic acid.
Lactic acidosis occurs when the body has little oxygen to meet demands. Example: exercise,seizure
