- Flynn studied 7500 people across the US and found population IQ raised by 0.3 points per year this has also been replicated in 14 other countries with the greatest rise of 1.3 in Germany and lowest 0.2 in Norway
- Non-verbal tests (problem-solving) show higher rises than verbal tests
