AC
Used on older aircraft, and does not have shoulder the AN fitting does
AN
Used on more current aircraft, has shoulder and long sleeve than AC fitting
Bead
Can be accomplished with power beader or hand beading tool
Bonded Clamp
Have an electrical lead that is connected to the aircraft structure
Bulkhead
Chafing
(Of something reflective or tight), to become sore as a result of abrasive rubbing.
Cold Flow
Any permanent deformation due to pressure or mechanical force
Double Flare
Soft aluminum tubing with an outside diameter of 3/8 inch or smaller
Fabricate
Select the proper size hose and end fitting. The inside diameter is the same as the inside diameter of the hose to which it is attached.
Ferrule
Used to preset a flareless fitting lubricating a nut and a sleeve
Flareless Fitting
Provides leak-free attachments without flares
Flexible
Provides layers of reinforcement to original tubing
Heel of a Bend
The outside of a bend.

Kink
A sharp twist or curve in something that is otherwise straight.
Lay Line
Shows whether or not a line has been twisted.
