Flight Controls Flashcards
What type of flaps do we have?
slotted
Where is aileron trim and what provides it?
Two trim motors, normal and standby, located in the LEFT wing. These motors control a trim tab on the LEFT aileron.
How are the roll spoilers deployed?
A mechanical link between the aileron control linkage and a hydraulic actuator.
How are the elevators controlled?
Cable.
CA controls left elevator.
FO controls right elevator.
What speed does the rudder spring tab lock?
Above 160 kts it is locked neutral.
When are ground spoilers automatically deployed?
Ground spoilers are armed (center pedestal/dark button).
Anti-skid sense wheel speed at least 45 kts.
WOW sensed by PSEU.
Thrust levers idle.
Landing gear down position.
For the ground spoiler manual deploy to work there must be ____.
Thrust lever at idle.
Wheel spin up to 45 kts sensed by anti-skid.
How are the flaps controlled/operated?
Electronically controlled (FCU), Hydraulically operated.
How many motors does pitch trim have?
4 motors total. 1 fast (below 200 kts) motor for each trim tab (2). 1 slow (above 200 kts) motor for each trim tab (2).
Which ground spoilers deploy first?
The outboard deploy 2 seconds before inboard.
