Q

What were the causes of the Berlin blockade

A

USSR wanted Germany to remain weak to prevent any future invasions where as the western countries wanted Germany to recover believing an economically strong Germany would stop the spread of communism. The British, French and USA zones also amalgamated while also making a new currency, breaking the promise to hold talks with Russia for big decisions in Germany.

Stalin also feared people would resent living in east Germany as they saw economic prosperity in west Germany
