The range of movement around a joint

agility
The ability to change direction quickly whilst maintaining balance
FA: FIbre type, reaction time, muscular power
SFT: Semo, Illinois, 5-0-5 agility tests
muscular endurance
The ability of a muscle or muscle group to sustain repeated contractions against a resistance for an extended period of time
FA: Fibre type, cross-sectional area, gender
SFT: 60 sec push up test, 30 sec sit up test, flexed arm hang test
muscular power
The ability of a muscle or muscle group to exert a maximum force in the shortest time
FA: Speed of contraction, length of muscle, age
SFT: Basketball throw, vertical jump, standing long jump
muscular strength
The peak force a muscle can develop
FA: Speed of contraction, length of muscle, age
SFT: 1RM bench press, grip strength dynameter, push-pull dynameter
anaerobic capacity
The total amount of energy obtained from the anaerobic pathway, anaerobic glycolysis and ATP-PC
FA: Age, Gender, Muscle fibre type, Lactate tolerance
SFT: Phosphate recovery test, 30 Wingate test
aerobic power
The maximum rate of aerobic energy production
FA: Age, Gender, Muscle fibre type
SFT: VO2 max treadmill test, Yo-Yo test
