The proportions of the chair are ergonomic and are in proportion to the human body. This allows the product to fit in with human society and the chair to do its job. This is shown in the overall dimensions of the chair where we see the 2 backrest sections are in equal proportion to the seat and the ottoman.

The chair itself is able to rock backwards slightly so the user can recline the chair in a comfortable position. This also helps take pressure off the person’s back so they aren’t always slouching forwards. The chair itself we see is clearly angled backwards

The cushion on the back of the chair supports the spine to create a comfortable place to sit and helps the posture of the person. This is shown in the deep buttoning that pieces the cushions and extra tension and support to the leather

The ottoman part of the chair supports the feet by helping blood circulation by allowing them to be propped up on the ottoman. The circulation helps the health and well being of the user. This is demonstrated by the ottoman being the same height as the seat part of the chair allowing ease of use
