- watchful waiting
- Muciprocin or clinda
- PO- dicloxacillin or cephalexin

- PO- TMP/sulfa, clinda, doxy or linezolid

1) watchful waitiing
2) if over 1-2 wks, PO TMP/SMX or cipro

- surgical excision
- curette & cauterize
- laser
- cryotherapy
- imiquimod
Large, painful, inflamed nodules, sterile abscesses and sinus tracts in the axillae, groin, and other parts of the body that contain apocrine glands
Hidradentitis Suppurativa
Hidradentitis Suppurativa tx
topical or systemic abx for anti-inflammatory effects
complete excision and grafting
3 tx for RHUS dermatitis/poison ivy rash
- oatmeal baths, wet compress, burrows soluntion or calcium acetate
- high potency steroids for itching
- PO predinsone taper for overly symptomatics (will be flare of the skin rxn)
intensely pruritic eruption w/in 48 hours of exposure.The eruption may appear as early as 5 hours or as late as 14 days after exposure
