How many engine fire protection loops are there?
Two on each engine
What area does loop A cover?
Engine and wheel well
What area does loop B cover?
Depending on the MOD can be engine and the wheel well or the engine combustion area only
What conditions could cause the “CHECK FIRE DET” warning light illuminate?
Fire in an engine, fire detection loop fault, fire in the APU, loop fault in the APU, APU or engine fire detection switch
What does pulling the PULL FUEL OFF handle do?
Shuts off fuel and hydraulic valves and arms the extinguisher squibs for the applicable engine
What is the cockpit indication of low fire bottle pressure?
Amber light in the fire control panel will not illuminate
How many engine fire bottles are there?
Two
What is the indication if a fire bottle has been thermally vented?
Red disc outside the aircraft is gone or punctured
What is the indication of a fault of an engine fire looP
Fault A or Fault B light is on, Master Warning light flashes and CHECK FIRE DET light flashes
What is the cockpit indication of an engine fire?
Master Warning Light flashes, CHECK FIRE DET light illuminates, 2 X ENGINE FIRE Pull Fuel Off handles illuminate and Fire Bell activates
Where is the lavatory fire bottle?
Above the waste bin
How does the lavatory fire bottle operate?
Melts the fusible seals and the halon fire down on the fire
How many portable fire extinguishers are there?
Three
What are the indications of an aft baggage smoke?
Master Warning light flashes, SMOKE Warning light activates
