Where are FD modes displayed?
Advisory Display Unit, upper left and right corners of the EADI
What modes do the GA buttons give you?
Wings level, GA
What pitch does the GA mode give you?
Flaps 0 or 5 - 12 degrees up, flaps 15 - 10 degrees up
What are the basic lateral flight director modes?
Wings level, Roll hold
What does roll hold povide you with?
Constant bank angle (at existing angle of 6 to 45 degrees of bank and 45 degrees bank if the bank was greater) and pitch
Can the autopilot be engaged with no flight director mode selected?
yes
How do you engage the autopilot?
Push AP button on
How can you disengage the autopilot?
A/P disengage on control column, push AP or YD button on the flight guidance computer, GA button on the Power Levers, push stall warning test, automatic activation of stick shaker, overriding the autopilot will also cause it to disengage
What is required to enter DUAL autopilot mode?
Both Navs tuned to same ILS, both LOC and GS are on track, radio altitude below 1,200 feet
What flap settings are approved for auto pilot coupled approaches?
0, 5 and 15 degrees flaps
What is the indication that a mode is in capture?
Mode plus asterisk
What is the indication that a mode has transitioned from ARM to CAPTURE?
Mode with asterisk and reverse video
What is the indication when a mode has transitioned from CAPTURE to TRACK?
Asterisk disappears
What would be the indication if a frequency change is made while operating in VOR mode?
