How is fire detected in the engines?
Two fire detection loops
How many fire extinguishing bottles does each engine have?
Two halon bottles per engine, and one halon bottle for the APU.

When does the fire detection unit (FDU) generate a fire warning? 
- both engine fire detection loops, detect a fire
- One loop has failed, and the remaining loop detect a fire
- both loops have failed within seconds of each other,
What six things happen when a fire is detected?
- The continuous repetitive chime
- The master warning illuminates
- The ENG ONE FIRE and Land ASAP red ECAM warnings

What happens when the fire push button is released?
- continuous repetitive chime is silenced

The agent has discharged overboard due to bottle over pressure

- CRC silences

- Warning sound at nose wheel

Two smoke detectors
How many smoke detectors does the aft cargo compartment have?
Four smoke detectors
