A
Pushing to release the ENG FIRE pushbutton.

A
- FIRE warning will be issued (if the failure occurs within 5 seconds)

What does an amber DISCH light mean?
A
- Bottle has lost its pressure either by a fault or pilot selection

How do you conduct a successful engine fire test?
A
- ENG 1 and 2 FIRE pb-sw checked in and guarded
- AGENT 1 and 2 light checked off
- ENG 1 and 2 TEST pb press and maintain to check:
- ENG FIRE pb lighted read + SQUIP and DISCH lights on
- CRC + MASTER WARN lights
- ENG 1(2) FIRE warning on ECAM ENG SD page displayed
- FIRE light (on ENG panel) on

What would occur if the APU is running and an APU fire is detected on the ground? In flight?
A
- On the ground, APU EMER shut down and bottle discharge
* In the air – no automatic functions
