Properties – filamentous, enveloped, pleomorphic, ss(-)RNA
GP – receptor binding, fusion, cytotoxicity
sGP – soluble, decoy to adsorb neutralizing antibodies

Ebola:
A
branching structure
Transmission – direct contact with blood and body fluids, incubation 2-21 days
Sx – headache, high fever (flu-like) → hematemesis, red eyes, diarrhea, internal and external bleeding, kidney/liver failure → death in 7-14 days (shock)
Histo – liver viral inclusions (pink), antigen in skin
Tx – supportive, ribavirin
