Fetal HR/FHTs Flashcards
What is normal basline HR
tachycardia?
bradycardia?
110-160 bpm
>160 for 10 min
<110 for 10 min
What determines variability
SNS and PSNS interplay, large inc or dec in variability is a bad sing
When do you see early decelerations? What causes early decels?
see along with contraction
due to head compression –> CN X stimulation
what is a variable decel?
due to cord compression, has no relation to contractions
What is a late decel?
happens after contraction, die to uteroplacental insufficiency
What is a reactive accelration?
2x accels/20 mins
acel = inc 15bpm over 15s
What does a sinusodal patter indicate?
fetal anemia (fetal vascualure rupture)
Cat 1 vs 2 vs 3 characteristics
1: FHR 110-160, moderate variability, no late//variable decels
2: everything else
3: absent variabilty + recurrent late/variable decels, bradycardia, sinusodal pattern
What are recuscutatuve measures in labor for bad looking baby
give O2 and change maternal position
