Retrouterine pouch (of Douglas)
What is the clinical significance of the vesicouterine and retrouterine pouches?
Important area for pelvic infections
Retrouterine pouch can be pierced into in back street abortion, infection risk

Links ovaries and uterus

Peritoneal sheet draped over uterus and uterine tubes

Uterine artery from the internal iliac artery.

Ciliated columnar epithelium and secretory cells
