Anteflexion-uterus bend forward on the cervix

Important area for pelvic infections

Iliac, sacral, aortic and inguinal lymph nodes

Stratum functionalis- top layer, supplied by spiral arteries, lost each month
Stratum basalis- lower layer, supplied by straight arteries, contains gland bases, build the stratum functionalis
What are the two layers of the stratum functionalis?
Stratum compactum (this is the one that gets shed) Stratum spongiosum

Non-keratinised stratified squamous
Protects against wear and tear
