Describe the boundaries and relations of the Pouch of Douglas
A
“Recto-uterine pouch”. Inferior-most extension of the peritoneal cavity, between anterior rectum and posterior uterus. Open above to peritoneal cavity.

Name the potential spaces where free fluid can accumulate in the pelvis and demonstrate their boundaries.

Vesicouterine pouch = anterior to uterus, between bladder and uterus.
Pouch of Douglas = Rectouterine pouch = posterior to uterus, between rectum and uterus.
