This syndrome may present with primary amenorrhea (due to lack of uterine development) in females with fully developed secondary sexual characteristics (functional ovaries).

Name the components of HELLP syndrome. What is seen in a blood smear?
H-Hemolysis
EL-Elevated liver enzymes
LP-Low Platelets
A manifestation of severe preeclampsia. —> shows Schistocytes
What are the complications of HELLP syndrome?? What is the treatment?
DIC, hepatic subscapular hematomas, rupture, leading to severe hypotension.
Treatment is: immediate delivery
What are the pathologies associated with XO (Turner’s Syndrome)?
Ovarian dysgenesis, shield chest, bicuspid aortic valve, coarctation of the aorta, lymphatic defects (causing edema), and horseshoe kidney. MCC of primary amenorrhea, no Barr body.
Menopause before menarche.
