Spreads through faeces and body fluids
Enters via ingestion/inhalation and intrauterine

Pathophysiology
Infects macrophages and travels around body
Targets vascular beds of peritoneum, pleura, eyes, meninges and kidneys
Strong immunity may clear virus
Partial immunity results in dry FIP
Poor immunity results in wet FIP
Dry and wet FIP

Clinical signs of acute form (5)
Dyspnoea
Anaemia
Mild pyrexia
Ascites/pleural effusion
Clinical signs of chronic (3)
Anorexia
Weight loss
Granulomatus lesion development on spleen/liver/kidney
- leads to chronic organ failure
