FCTM Flashcards
SEQUENCE OF PROCEDURES IN ABNORMAL/EMERGENCY SITUATIONS
‐ MEMORY ITEMS or OEB immediate actions ‐ OEB ‐ ECAM ‐ QRH - Summaries
Controls that require PF/PM cross check in flight
‐ ENG MASTER switch
‐ IR selector
‐ All guarded controls
‐ Cockpit C/Bs
What does the EMERG CANC pb do?
deletes the aural alert and the caution for the remainder of the flight
What is FPV (flight path vector) computed from?
- IRS Data
- Static Pressure Information
When is an engine considered secure?
‐ “ENG MASTER OFF” for an engine failure without damage
‐ “AGENT 1 DISCH” for an engine failure with damage
‐ Fire extinguished or “AGENT 2 DISCH” for an engine fire
When is it recommended to turn the PTU off without delay?
Required by ECAM due to:
‐ HYD G(Y) RSVR LO LVL
‐ HYD G(Y) RSVR LO AIR PR (Only if pressure fluctuates)
‐ HYD G(Y) RSVR OVHT
Sequence to configure aircraft w/ G & Y hydraulic failure
Flaps 1, Flaps 2, Flaps 3, Vapp, Gear Down
- Being stabilized at VAPP, before selecting the gear down, enables the aircraft to be trimmed for approach*
Sequence to configure aircraft w/ G & B hydraulic failure
Flaps 1, Landing Gear @200 kts, Flaps 2, Flaps 3
Extend the landing gear at 200 kt to revert sooner in direct law. This provides, below 200 kt , a better pitch control than in alternate law with one elevator lost and all slats lost
Engine Out During Cruise Strategies
‐ The standard strategy (preferential strategy)
* speed target M 0.78/300 kt
* REC MAX EO Cruise altitude (MCDU PROG page)
* V/S becomes less than 500 ft/min, select V/S
500 ft/min and A/THR on
‐ The obstacle strategy
* speed target is green dot
* EO drift down ceiling (MCDU PERF CRZ page)
* clear of obstacles, revert to Standard Strategy
‐ The fixed speed strategy
*ETOPS operation
