- You have the option to FORMAT THE DISPLAY OF COLUMN DATA. What is this useful for?
You may want to customize the appearance of the data, such as displaying a date as June 18 instead of 6-18.
- How do you format the DISPLAY OF COLUMN DATA?
double click column header, and the FORMAT COLUMN dialog opens. Choose DISPLAY tab and make your choices.
- What is your other option for FORMATTING THE DATA?
Application FORMAT. (GLOBAL ) PREFERENCES.
- How do you format ONLY the column header?
Control-Click the header and choose FONT
- You can FORMAT FONT STYLES BY OUTLINE LEVEL, so you can apply a larger font to upper levels. How?
Double click the COLUMN HEADER, and the FORMAT COLUMN dialog opens. Choose OUTLINE STYLES button and click the DEFINE OUTLINE STYLES BUTTON and make your choices.
- You can SHOW AND HIDE COLUMN HEADINGS AND TIMESCALES. How?
LAYOUTS BUTTON: DEFINE: EDIT. In the DEFINE LAYOUT dialog that opens up, make your choices.

- What is the KEY STRATEGY for using a WBS?
it is to divide the project into manageable pieces that can be individually planned, estimated, and controlled.
- How do you create a WBS?
you first organize you TASKS using OUTLINE LEVELS and insert a WBS column in the schedule. In the Work Breakdown Structure dialog, assign each outline level a numeric or alphanumeric code that will label its position in the hierarchy.
- How do you set the CODES for the WBS?
PROJECT MENU: WBS, and make the choices, such as Number (1.2.1) or Letters (A.B.A)
